“The Michigan Masons through the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation are committed to helping the community,” said Richard Wisely, Grand Master of Michigan Masons. “The admirable work the Community Foundation of Greater Flint is doing is vital to addressing the community’s needs – we’re honored to contribute to this cause.”

The Community Foundation received the donation March 22 from the Michigan Masons, presented by Wisely at the Michigan Masons Flint Masonic Temple. Several speakers were present such as Lieutenant Governor of Michigan Brian Calley and Community Foundation of Greater Flint President Kathi Horton.

“We are very grateful for this generous donation of $100,000 by the Michigan Masonic Foundation,” said Kathi Horton, president, Community Foundation of Greater Flint. “These funds will help support the delivery of critical public health, medical and community-based services and interventions that address and mitigate the short and long-term impacts experienced by children exposed to lead as the result of the 2014-2016 Flint water crisis.
